About me
I'm a lover of words. I overthink things, and live a bit too much of my life in my head. I find joy in simple things, like trees, music, food, and good conversation. I over-eat chocolate, and under-estimate my children, all the time.
I'm growing up, slowly, and whittling down (sometimes too slowly) on things that stop me flourishing. I'm hungry for meaning and connection, and my faith helps frame where I look for these and how I curate them across my days.
I am ever-so drawn to God, and to the eternal and its presence in the now.
I am also curious, home-spun, and bookish. I love hugs, green, pottery and light. Sometimes, I feel very broken. I am learning to bear grief like a healing wound-turned-scar.
Always, though, I have hope. Where there is light, life, and love, there is hope.
I have three daughters who are as different as water, fire and air.
They bring me delight and constantly teach me how to love (in real-time, not just in theory).
We all love a good movie; word-jalsting, music, the east coast, shoes, and our own space.
Some of us love chess, kale, pottery, rock-climbing, singing and vegemite. One of us likes dancing in the rain.
None of us like to volunteer for housework.
All of us are fiery, strong, and capable women with soft edges.
We live in the foothills of the beautiful Kununyi, looking out at the river and overlooking Nipaluna (Hobart) in southern Litruwita (Tasmania). We live in the best hidden secret on our beautiful earth.
